Jorge Teniente Vallinas was born on 4 December 1973 in Pamplona (Navarra), Spain. He received an M.Sc. Telecommunication Engineering degree, from the Public University of Navarra, Spain, in February 1997.

From February to November 1997, Jorge was in the Spanish compulsory military service. Since September 1997 he has worked with the Microwave and Millimetre Wave Group in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of the Public University of Navarra as a Research Fellow and began his Ph.D. about 'Design of Horn Antennas with Gaussian Techniques'. During this period, he designed a corrugated horn antenna for the Spanish company 'Construcciones Aeronauticas' (C.A.S.A.) which was launched in Hispasat 1C Satellite and is also being used for the new Hispasat 1D Satellite.

From December 1998 to February 2000, Jorge was at the EMC and Antenna Measurement Section in ESA/ESTEC in the Netherlands with the aid of a grant from the Spanish Government where he was involved in antenna measurements in the CATR and holography calculations of ASAR/ENVISAT antenna.

In March 2000 Jorge joined the Antenna Group in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of the Public University of Navarra (a new group formed by part of the people involved the previous Microwave and Millimeter Wave Group), working on a research project with FEDER funds (number 2FD97-1750) to develop the possibilities of Gaussian Profiled Horn Antennas; with the aim to finish his Ph.D.

Jorge has 4 articles published in scientific magazines and 23 reports in conference proceedings.
