Background
Iņigo Ederra was born on 25 March 1972 in Isaba (Navarra), Spain. He received an M.Sc. Degree (Telecommunication Engineer) from the Universidad Pública de Navarra, Spain in 1996.
Since January 1997 he has been with the Microwave and Millimetre Wave Group at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department in UPNA. From February 1999 to September 2000 he was with the Antenna Section of ESA-ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands, thanks to a Spanish Government grant. There he was involved in the modelling and design of Photonic Band Gap Antennas at microwave and millimetre wave frequencies. He is currently finishing his Ph.D. on applications of PBGs in the field of antennas.
His current areas of research are in the field of Photonic Band Structures for microwave and millimetre wave antenna applications with emphasis on space applications.
